When you need Multi-Brand SEO
If you are an operator with 2+ brands (different labels on the same platform, different GEO focuses, different lobby types - slots vs sports vs poker), you are faced with questions that single-brand sites do not have:
- How to promote brand A and brand B in the same GEO without cannibalizing each other?
- Where should the content pipeline be directed - each brand has its own or a common one?
- How to divide the link building budget between portfolio brands?
- What to do when two of your brands compete for one long-tail keyword?
- How to segment affiliate networks so as not to “devour” each other?
This is not “more SEO for more sites.” This is a different class of problem, portfolio optimization.
What is included in the service
- Brand mapping - taxonomy: which brand for which audience, which GEO, which keyword-set, which lobby niche.
- Cannibalization audit - analysis of the existing overlap between your brands using queries and intent. Findings: where you compete with yourself and lose clicks.
- Content topology - content plan for the portfolio: single pipeline or separate ones? Which themes are common and which are unique? Where to reuse content legally (rewriting, not duplication).
- Internal cross-linking strategy - yes/no to links between your brands, how to do it without footprint.
- Anchor distribution per brand - brand/non-anchor/accurate plan for each brand separately, taking into account the risk of correlation.
- GEO segmentation - division of markets between portfolio brands to minimize internal competition.
- Coordinated link building - a single database of guest sites, division by brand without footprint, cross-link tracking.
The main problem is cannibalization
When you have 5 brands and all rank for “best casino in Germany”, you split 100% of the traffic between your 5 sites instead of taking 100% to one. Even worse: Google sees 5 sites with similar content from related domains and reduces the credibility of each.
The solution is taxonomic differentiation: brand A specializes in slots for casual players, brand B specializes in live games for VIPs, brand C specializes in sportsbooks. Each one occupies its own niche in the keyword cluster. Internal competition → 0, total coverage → x4.
Joint line-up vs isolated meshes
Two approaches:
- Isolated. Each brand = a separate ecosystem with its own SEO, content, links. Safe (if one is banned, the rest live), expensive (everything × N), does not use synergy.
- Coordinated. Common strategy, common team, division into niches. N times cheaper per unit of content, higher coverage efficiency, but requires strict taxonomy so as not to destroy the connection.
We choose the approach based on the context: portfolio size, regulatory risks in GEO, history of related domains in the eyes of Google.
Real example (under NDA)
Operator with 4 brands in portfolio, GEO: 6 markets EU + Latam, 9 months of work
- At the start: brands competed for 60% of common keyword clusters, average position 12.
- After 4 months: cannibalization reduced to 8%, brands redistributed among niches, average position 6.
- After 9 months: the total organic traffic of the portfolio increased by 3.4 times vs start. One of the brands reached 1000 registrations/month.
FAQ
How many brands justify multi-brand SEO?
From 2. Already on 2 brands in one GEO the problem of cannibalization appears. At 5+ multi-brand strategy becomes critical - without it, brands siphon traffic from each other.
What if my brands are on the same engine (white-label)?
This simplifies the content pipeline (easier to reuse), but complicates differentiation (Google sees the footprint faster). Multi-brand strategy takes this context into account.
Can I work with a competitor of my portfolio?
No. The win-win principle only works if we are focused on your results. If we are already working with one of your direct competitors in the same GEO, we refuse the new request.
How long does it take to launch?
2-4 weeks for brand mapping and cannibalization audit. The first changes in search results are 2-3 months, stable results are 6-9 months.
What is the budget?
From $5,000/month for a portfolio of 2-3 brands. Tier-1 package (10+ brands, 5+ GEO) - discussed individually.
